NBSC Extends Service to Neighboring TEIs through Quality Assurance and OBE Training
On January 23-24, 2025, Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) actively participated in the Collaborative Meeting with Teacher Education Institutions (TEIs) and the Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQAT) at Dream Residences, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon. This event, spearheaded by the Commission on Higher Education – Region X (CHED 10), aimed to strengthen quality assurance mechanisms, align academic programs with national standards, and enhance the implementation of Outcomes-Based Education (OBE).
As part of NBSC’s commitment to academic excellence and community service, Dr. Jovelyn G. Delosa, Vice President for Academic Affairs and RQAT Member, extended her expertise as a speaker-trainer during the session on “7 Proofs of Transformation.” She provided in-depth discussions on key aspects of program quality assurance, specifically:
Performance Indicators for Each Outcome – Establishing clear benchmarks to assess student achievement.
Proposed Outcomes-Based Syllabus for Each Course – Ensuring alignment between learning objectives and assessment strategies.
Proposed System of Program Assessment and Evaluation – Implementing systematic measures to gauge program effectiveness.
Dr. Delosa’s session empowered participating institutions to enhance their academic programs, ensuring they meet the demands of quality education and accreditation standards.
NBSC expresses its gratitude to CHED 10 for the invitation and the opportunity to contribute to this significant initiative. Special thanks to NBSC President Dr. Christie Jean Villanueva-Ganiera for her unwavering support in allowing Dr. Delosa to share her expertise and further NBSC’s mission of fostering academic excellence beyond its campus.
This initiative underscores NBSC’s dedication to uplifting higher education in the region, ensuring that teacher education institutions are equipped with the best practices in curriculum development, assessment, and quality assurance.
